7. Final challenge: decide whether T2 can be removed
review a different change without copying the CSV lesson result.
On this page
Goal: review a different change without copying the CSV lesson result. You need: the seven core activities and the practice data.
Your assignment
A teammate proposes removing T2 from Targets. Explain which consumers would be affected and deliver a report with a recommendation. This time select Targets and ConsumersValid, with bundled-valid.json; do not add Consumers.
- Establish the current state: a completed review, inspected coverage and no current reference errors in that selection.
- Copy the original local
Targets.csvasCandidateWithoutT2.csv. Keep the header and every row except T2. T1 must remain. Do not import the file into Unreal. - Before comparison, open ConsumersValid and record the IDs you predict will lose their destination. Do not reveal the solution yet.
- Compare the new CSV against Targets. Separate current issues from predicted impact. Open Targets and verify that T2 still exists.
- Export the result with scope and coverage. Write a short recommendation: what would stop resolving, what needs changing or investigating, and what remains outside scope.
Review your delivery
- Selection and profile match the assignment; you checked rather than reused another activity’s configuration blindly.
- The report separates current data from predicted impact.
- Evidence identifies consumers, property and destination.
- The recommendation does not claim a whole-project review from two selected tables.
- Comparison has neither imported the CSV nor deleted T2.
Compare results after trying
In ConsumersValid, C3 and C4 use T2. These are the two consumers whose destination would be removed. C1 and C2 use T1 and are unaffected by this candidate. Optional empty handles remain valid under bundled-valid. The current data stays clean; the candidate introduces two predicted removed-row impacts. T2 remains in the asset because you only compared. A reasonable recommendation is to postpone import until C3 and C4 have a plan and other consumers outside the selection have been considered.
You are finished when: you can support that conclusion with the report and explain its limits. The assistant extension can help interpret evidence but is not required to complete the course.
