0. Prepare a RowTether practice project

Build this example in your Unreal practice project and check the result at each step.

Set up an isolated workspace with the downloadable tables and files used throughout the learning path.

    1. Create an empty Unreal C++ project called RowTetherPractice. Use a separate copy from your real project; these exercises edit their practice DataTables.
    2. Install and enable RowTether. Restart the editor if Unreal asks you to.
    3. In the Content Browser, create /Game/RowTetherExample. At the project root, create a Fixtures folder for the downloaded CSV and profile files.
    4. Download Targets.csv, Consumers.csv, ConsumersValid.csv, Candidate.csv, and the nullable-handles.json and bundled-valid.json profiles. Save them under Fixtures.
    5. Create a User Defined Structure named ST_TargetRow with a Label property of type String. Right-click the structure, choose Create Data Table, and save the table as Targets inside /Game/RowTetherExample.
    6. Import Targets.csv into Targets. Create another User Defined Structure named ST_ConsumerRow with a Link property of type Data Table Row Handle. Create Consumers and ConsumersValid DataTables from it in the same folder.
    7. Import Consumers.csv into Consumers, and ConsumersValid.csv into ConsumersValid. Create Targets before importing the consumer tables: their handles point to /Game/RowTetherExample/Targets.Targets.

You should have: three DataTables in /Game/RowTetherExample and the practice files under Fixtures. The commercial RowTether plugin does not install these tables.

If the Consumers CSV does not import, check that Targets was created first, the field is named exactly Link and its type is Data Table Row Handle. Do not move or rename the target asset after import; the handles in the file point to the path above.
