Scientific Number Tools lessons
Learn by building: from your first Blueprint to saving progress and working with your own tables.
Before you start
You need an Unreal project with Scientific Number Tools installed and enabled. You will build your own Blueprints and assets using the public nodes from the plugin and Unreal.
Start with project setup and follow the lessons in order: later steps reuse the wallets, widgets and structures you create. Each lesson explains what to connect, what to expect and how to check failures.
Your learning path
- 0. Prepare your project and a practice level
- 1. Create your first Blueprint and see where the text comes from
- 2. Trigger an error and decide what the user will see
- 3. Build a real wallet with an interface you can click
- 4. Replace the wallet with Safe and compare the work required
- 5. Test context with your own variables
- 6. Create a format in the editor and use it in your widget
- 7. Calculate operations and purchase costs
- 8. Calculate totals and statistics for an array
- 9. Decide whether your project allows negative values
- 10. Check events and networking from your own Actor
- 11. Save and restore numbers with Unreal SaveGame
- 12. Store your economy data in your own DataTable
- 13. Use AI to inspect and edit a specific asset
- 14. Sum batches of values with SIMD from C++ (optional)
Reference while you build
The reference documentation explains each feature’s contract and limits. Use it when you need more detail about a type, error or option.
