Automation and AI

Toolset Registry reference and safe review, report, and release-capture sequence.

On this page

The optional adapter registers SaveTetherTools when Unreal’s Toolset Registry is available. The native review panel does not require AI, Python, or Toolset Registry. For setup, see AI integration setup; for a guided example, see AI workflows.

Available operations

  • review_with_baseline(declarations_path, previous_manifest_path, max_records=10000) reviews explicitly selected current declarations against an explicit previous manifest.
  • review_initial_declarations(declarations_path, max_records=10000) reviews an initial declaration set without inventing a previous release.
  • get_review_status() polls the active review, coverage, counts, and validation reasons. Continue until a terminal state.
  • get_review_page(section, offset=0, limit=10) returns a bounded page from changes, mappings, or findings; limit must be from 1 to 10. Continue at the returned offset.
  • export_report(output_directory, allow_partial=false) writes a report beneath an existing local directory explicitly selected by the user. Partial or cancelled coverage requires explicit approval for allow_partial=true.
  • capture_release(output_directory) writes a new identity manifest beneath an existing selected directory. It requires a current complete review with no rejected mappings.

Safe sequence

  1. Ask the user for the exact local declaration and, when applicable, previous-manifest paths. SaveTether does not search the project or open .sav files.
  2. Start one review and poll its status to completion. An accepted start response is not a passing result.
  3. Inspect coverage, findings, mappings, and reasons before summarizing. A completed review is not proof that a game can load a save.
  4. Write only after the user explicitly approves the exact output directory and operation. Review the resulting paths before sharing.

The review limit is 1–100,000 identities and only one review runs at a time. The adapter does not modify declarations or game saves and cannot execute a migration. See exporting reports, finding codes, and release capture.
