Compare snapshots and understand coverage
Interpret added, conserved, removed, and excluded identities.
On this page
SaveTether compares complete snapshots of typed identities. Added means present only in the current declarations; Conserved means present in both; Removed means present only in the prior manifest. The same text under different kinds is not the same identity. A missing previous manifest is no baseline, not an empty release: current persistent identities are additions. Conversely, a valid empty current set compared with a populated prior release produces removals; two empty snapshots have no applicable data.
An invalid read is never treated as an empty release. A malformed document, unsupported future schema, duplicate persistent identity, or changed input invalidates the review rather than producing a misleading diff. Inspect the review status and findings before exporting.
The default budget is 10,000 identities and can be set from 1 to 100,000. Selected is the union of persistent identities in the input snapshots; Inspected counts those classified; Skipped is Selected minus Inspected. Exceeding the budget yields Partial coverage. An uninspected identity is never falsely reported as Removed. Raise the review budget within the supported limit or correct/split the inputs, then review again. Completed means evaluation finished; it does not mean mappings were accepted or that a game’s save loader is compatible. Partial, Failed, Cancelled, and NoApplicableData are distinct outcomes; only a current Completed review with full coverage and no rejected mappings is eligible for release capture.
