AI workflows
Run a bounded local inventory and inspect its findings before explicitly exporting a manifest.

Start with AI integration setup. The optional adapter is included in MediaTether; the native panel does not require AI, Python, or Toolset Registry.
Review selected sources
- In Content Browser, select only the intended
FileMediaSourceandImgMediaSourceassets. The tool reads this selection; it does not accept arbitrary asset or filesystem paths from the model. - Call
MediaTetherTools.start_inventory(). In Unreal’s native dialog, choose the existing delivery root to check. An empty selection or dismissed dialog does not start a review. - Poll
MediaTetherTools.get_status()until the operation reaches a terminal state. Do not start another operation while one is active. If the user asks to stop, callcancel_operation()and confirm the final state withget_status().
Inspect before exporting
Read a bounded page such as get_report_page("findings", 0, 50). The supported sections are findings, records, sources, and reasons; continue from the returned next offset when more rows exist. Check status, coverage, selected sources, paths, and findings together. Completed means the inventory finished, not that a file is playable or a delivery is valid.
For a repeatable test without a public showcase download, follow the local quick-start recipe using only example files in your installed plugin package or media you are authorized to use. The expected findings are one missing movie, one external path, and one missing image-sequence frame. The inventory reports them; it never repairs them.
Only after the user approves, call export_manifest(). Unreal opens a native picker for an existing local output folder. The tool does not copy, move, rename, repair, or upload source media. A partial or cancelled inventory requires explaining the incomplete coverage and receiving explicit approval before calling export_manifest(allow_partial=true); keep the resulting status marked partial or cancelled.
Example request: “Review only the media-source assets I selected against the delivery root I choose in Unreal. Show me the coverage and findings. Do not export until I approve.”
