MediaTether finding codes

Use a code together with its message, source, path, and coverage. A finding describes what the inventory observed; it is not a repair instruction or proof that a media file plays. See Interpret findings and Resolve a finding for next steps.

Code	Severity	Meaning
MEDIATETHER-FILE-MISSING	Error	A declared file path was not found.
MEDIATETHER-FRAME-MISSING	Error	A frame expected by the explicitly declared sequence pattern and range was not found.
MEDIATETHER-FILE-UNREADABLE	Warning	File metadata or access could not be read reliably; this does not prove the file is absent or that its codec is unsupported.
MEDIATETHER-NOT-A-FILE	Error	The resolved path is not a regular file.
MEDIATETHER-PATH-EXTERNAL	Warning	The file resolves outside the chosen delivery root and therefore has no delivery-relative path. MediaTether does not copy it.
MEDIATETHER-PATH-UNSAFE	Warning	The path uses a disallowed or unsafe form, such as a network/device path, alternate data stream, or link-based ancestry.
MEDIATETHER-RANGE-UNDECLARED	Warning	A sequence has no explicit pattern and frame range, so gaps cannot be inferred.
MEDIATETHER-SEQUENCE-UNAVAILABLE	Error	The sequence cannot be evaluated from the supplied source and explicit sequence context.
MEDIATETHER-SOURCE-CHANGED	Warning	A source or observed file changed during the operation; rerun against stable inputs.
MEDIATETHER-SOURCE-UNSUPPORTED	Warning	The selected source type is outside inventory support.

Severity is a review aid, not a playback or delivery certification. A completed traversal may still contain errors or warnings. Correct the project or source files yourself, then run a fresh inventory; old reports are snapshots.
