Automation and AI

Start with AI integration setup or the guided AI workflows. The adapter is included in MediaTether; using it is optional. The native Editor panel works without Python or Toolset Registry.

Available tools

• MediaTetherTools.start_inventory() reviews only the FileMediaSource and ImgMediaSource assets selected in Content Browser, then opens Unreal’s folder picker for an existing delivery root.
• MediaTetherTools.get_status() advances and reports the active inventory or export. Poll it until the operation reaches a terminal state.
• MediaTetherTools.get_report_page(section, offset, limit) reads a bounded page from findings, records, sources, or reasons. Use a limit from 1 to 100 and continue at the returned next offset.
• MediaTetherTools.cancel_operation() requests cooperative cancellation. Call get_status() to confirm the final state.
• MediaTetherTools.export_manifest(allow_partial=false) opens a folder picker and exports only after review. Partial or cancelled results require both an explanation and explicit user approval to set allow_partial=true.

Safe sequence

1. Ask the user to select the intended sources in Content Browser. The adapter accepts no arbitrary asset or filesystem paths.
2. Start one inventory and wait for its terminal status; do not start another operation while it is active.
3. Inspect status, coverage, findings, and paths together. Completed means traversal completed, not that media plays or the delivery is valid.
4. Export only when the user explicitly approves. Export creates a report; it does not copy, move, rename, repair, transcode, or upload media.

Each AI inventory accepts at most 1,000 selected assets and is hard-capped at 10,000 file records; the native panel/profile can be configured up to 100,000 records. Sequence gaps are reported only when an explicit pattern and range are declared. For the exact report files and privacy limits, see Exporting reports.
